Regular work for Drupal theme integrator | Marketing Results
We need a developer that can cut up a PSD design into a Drupal theme (using the Zen Theme as the base). At the moment we have about 2 designs per month that need to be integrated, but this will increase.
Please read this entire job ad before applying Requirements:- You must have experience with Drupal
- You must have experience with Photoshop
- You must have great HTML / CSS skills
- You must have good attention to detail and the attitude to do it right, rather than cut corners.
- You must be able to follow our system
- You must be work with reasonably tight deadlines (48 hours in most cases)
We have been developing Drupal websites for several years and have come up with a system for turning PSD designs into Drupal themes in about 6 hours. Each job will also have a few hours of content integration, so the average job will take about 10 hours to complete.
We pay an hourly rate so if jobs take more or less time, you are still paid fairly for the time you put in. Each job is different so we like being flexible. Also, if you're billing by the hour there is less incentive to cut corners to save time.
We expect to pay about USD$20 / hour for this position. If you can add value to the process (eg. you can get it right first time every time or you can do it in less time) we're happy to pay a bit more, but this is not a $50 / hour gig.
Application Instructions:- Send through at least 3 live examples of Drupal websites that you have integrated the theme for (using the Zen theme is a plus).
- A brief description of your experience with Drupal
- Provide your hourly rate
- Do not apply if you do not want on going work
If you don't follow these instructions, your application will be deleted.

Drupal DojoDrupalCamp Qld 2010
Apologies for the belated post! What a fantastic day we all had at DrupalCamp Qld. We've all received a lot of encouragement and many thanks go to those who made the day the success it was.
The speakers all did a brilliant job and though we couldn't get to hear all of the presentations on the day, we have some recordings of the presentations which are now up on http://www.drupalqld.org It was great having a range of topics from a range of speakers from all over QLD.
Feedback has come through that people went away with something, whether a new Drupal skill or concept or just an experience of touching base with some familiar faces and meeting new people!
A big thanks to our sponsors: UQ and specifically CEIT, Suncorp, Marmaladesoul, IT Integrity, and CSS Creator.
The day was filled with great laughs, plenty of food and most importantly great Drupallers building a community.
Looking forward to seeing you all again at either the next Brisbane Drupal meet-up held Tuesday 6th July 2010 (details to come soon) or the next Drupal event...
Thanks,
Jeff and Sheree

Large library of Drupal books going cheap!
Hi Aussie Drupalers,
I have a collection of new Drupal books (almost $1000 worth) which I'd been planning to leave behind at a large Drupal project but unfortunately that plan fell through. Now my wife is reclaiming shelf space for baby books so, sadly, I need to let them go. This is your chance to expand your Drupal book collection cheaply (especially if you're in Sydney and can pick up your purchases)! There is a book in the collection for nearly every Drupal topic and for every experience level and many of them are highly specialised and quite interesting. They are all shiny new Drupal 6 books (a few cover bits of 7 as well) and based on my past few years' experience with Drupal I'd say they are likely to continue to be useful and valuable for several years to come.
The books are:

Please take a look. They really are all excellent books and, while it is a shame to have to break them up, they need new homes and appreciative owners.
All the best,

Collaborating in a land of open spaces, a land of wide open plains.
Hi,
I'm currently studying up on some new practices and when I'm done, I should share the knowledge with all you guys. But this means putting together a few slides and traveling to the nearest Drupal meet to give a presentation. So only my local group benefits directly. The rest of Australia will never know how awesome I am and that breaks my heart.
Because we already spend a considerable effort getting everyone in the same place and time, I was thinking that some collaboration tool webinar thingy would really be of benefit to this community. So community members could give a presentation online!
Does anyone know of any tools we could use? The logistics?
