Perth March Meetup

7 hours 14 min ago
Start:  2010-03-24 17:30 - 19:00 Australia/Perth Organizers:  alexkb samhassell User group meeting

Hi again everyone,

The next Perth Drupal meetup is scheduled for 5:30 pm, Wednesday 24th March, 2010 at the Itomic Office in West Perth.

This will be our forth Drupal meetup in Perth, but the first that will follow some structure and won't be located at the (noisy) pub!

Below is the structure we are going to try to follow:

  1. Introductions: everyone (or perhaps just the regulars?) to introduce themselves and their backgrounds in general.
  2. Drupal South Wellington Debriefing by Thomas (thsutton).
  3. Show & Tell: have those who wish to, talk about a Drupal project they are currently working on and/or recently completed where they've learnt something new and interesting.
  4. Drupal Q&A HowTo: ask a question about any topic relating to drupal including but not limited to theming, informational architecture, module development, best practice modules, etc.
  5. Discuss which topics should be focused on for the next meetup.

The Itomic Perth Office is located at Suite 34, City West Centre, corner Plaistowe Mews & Sutherland St, West Perth (google map link). You can either catch the train and walk 100 metres from the City West Train station (Fremantle line), or park in the City West section (where Scitech/Harvey Norman's is, which is free for the first 2 hours).

Itomic will be kindly supplying the meetup with beer, but if someone else could please bring some nibblies (chips, or something) that would be great.

As always, if you're interested in anything Drupal, please come along - all types are welcome: techies, project manager's, hobbyists, students, designers, anyone!

Please email either Sam or myself (alex.bergin@gmail.com) if you'd like a mobile contact number to help with finding the place.

Cheers and look forward to seeing you at the meetup!
